Wii Software \ Wi-Fi Stuffed?

I don't know why, but I think I may've somehow screwed up my Wii's wireless! D:

While waiting for the Wii Shop Channel to connect, I've had to turn it off at the power while it was connecting around 2 or 3 times. After that, I moved my Wii right next to my router and was able to connect to the shop channel and update the Opera browser, but now the Wii's back in my living room, nothing seems to work!

I've tried Internet, News and Everybody Votes but none of them work, saying they can't connect to the internet. I check my Wii settings, and the signal strength shows 3 bars (green)... What's going on?! DDD:

Signal strength is only half the story. The other half is whether or not your router can actually establish a connection to the internet. Check that.

I mean battery.

Why would you remove the power cord again if it's already removed?

(Hint: The Wii has a battery like a PC does.)

A couple of weeks ago I took the power cord out of the back of my Wii without turning the power point off first. It wouldn't connect to the internet and I thought I'd stuffed my Wii. I turned the power point off for a few minutes then configured my internet connections again and everything works fine now.

Doing more research now, and apparently:

1. Wii's specifically don't like channel 6
2. Add the Wii's MAC address to the router settings or something and it'll be better (I have no idea how)

And in case you need to know, I am using a D-Link DI-524 router.

Did a speed test on my Wii and found out that the speed is slower than dial-up, when before it was cable speed. WDF?!

My Wi-Fi is so annoying... I tried moving the Wii around, sometimes it'd be cable speed, then when I put the reflector in, dial up speed. Then, I moved my Wii back to its normal spot, wouldn't work at all, moved Wii back to where it had cable speed, and then it wouldn't work until I put the reflector in. WHAT THE ****!?

set your router to channel 1 or 11

After about an hour I got sick of waiting and just pulled the plug. When I turned it back on it connected in about a minute. So that was weird! But apart from that I havent had a problem, my Wii is still flashing blue though all this time.
