Just do what I do and throw down a few hundred every eighteen months to keep a gaming PC near the high end. After all, the PC has always had perfect online multiplayer, has a huge game library, and rivals or surpasses the PS3's graphical capabilities.

part of the wii's charm is that it's small and cheap(ish). if you up the things inside it, it gets too big and starts to rival the 360 in size!!!
one of my problems when i bought it was the price though. In terms of what you are getting, it's a bit expensive, especially considering the US exchange rate (an NTSC-U wii will cost around $320).I think nintendo only charged $400 coz they knew it was the max people would pay before considering a 360

The Wii is a machine that offers something other than high-powered graphics and personally I'm more interested in what it can offer over what it can't. Yes the games on the Wii haven't been that great and 3rd party support is always a worry, but it is still early days and there's good things in store.

Its the first word - interactive - that seperates video games from other forms of fantasy entertainment.

You want graphics - go to the movies.
Yo want Interactive entertainment - thats something Nintendo have been specialising in for years.

Why pay $100 a pop for good looking graphics wrapped around a crud game when you can buy a movie for much much less?
