Here's something I like to think about:

What piece of technology would you take back to the past (year of your choice) and why?

I'd take my car (it's crap and I know it) back to 1940s where it would be fast ^_^
I'd take a powerbook G4 back to 1984 when apple produced the first macintosh and show steve jobs what's coming
I'd take Ps3 (and gran turismo) back to when they were playing pong... do you think they'd like it? I have a feeling than having an n64 in the pacman era wouldn't be too flash, since I dont think people would understand the excitement of 3D gaming

You could always buy (or download) blueprints for products that have been made and take those back in time. That way, you could get the credit for inventing them and make a ton of money!
