Just make sure that it is Core Duo at least 1gig of ram and has a nvidia card in it. Apart from that it should be all good.
The ones with the glass type screens (can't think what it's called) are really nice to.

Decide how portable it needs to be.

I used to have (actually still have) a Sony with a 16inch screen:
www.laptopshop.co.uk/

It was a nice machine with a great screen but was too big to lug around conveniently.

Now I have gone to the other end and have an ultra-portable Fujitsu P7120 which is much more convenient. The screen is nowhere near as big but it is less than half the size of my old laptop.

Get a MacBook Pro with Windows XP installed. You can get this from the MacMall at www.macmall.com/
That way, you can run games on the windows part and have a secure, fast mac system on the other. And the great part about getting it with both installed is the fact that you can run both at the same time! Find out more at www.apple.com/
Enjoy looking!

I'd get a MacBook or if you can afford it MacBookPro, don't get a laptop to play games get a awsome PC to play them.

Macs can get Core Duo 2's in them now and are totaly off the hook.

Core 2 Duos are severely over-rated.
a 4200+ out-performs a E6600.

Get a Turion.

Mac mice are, in fact, multi button. Take a look here www.apple.com/
As far as laptops go, then yes they are single button, but you will find that using the "ctrl" button is a great (and faster) way to get tasks done. Fore example, "ctrl+q" is to quit out of a program. Q=Quit Easy!

The MacBook has an integrated graphics chip, the MacBook Pro has its own graphics card. The MacBook only has a 13.3 inch screen and it only comes in glossy, while the pro has 15.4 and 17 inch displays that are glossy or not. Also, the Pro seems to have a better keyboard. If you want to do, what I am going to do which I will explain in a minute, then you want the pro. I want to have Windows installed too so I can play games. There are two ways tot do this. The first is using Apples Boot Camp www.apple.com/
The second is using Parallels Desktop www.parallels.com/
I want to use Parallels which will mean that I am going to be swithing between two operating systems at the same time without rebooting. Therefore, I do not want to have to share my RAM with OS X, XP, and my Graphics card. So if you want to run games or if you want to have multiple OS's running, go with the Pro. I hope that made sense, if not please ask to rephrase anything.

Yes, it is a little odd at first, but you get completely used to it after about 1 week.

The MacBooks do have only 1 mouse button. However, two fingers on the mouse pad allow you to scroll, which is very convenient. You hold down control and click for a right click. And you can always plug in a USB mouse with 3 or more buttons.

Once you've had Mac you never go back. Best laptops out there. Best operating system out there.
