That's always how it works in zelda games. When you save in a dungeon you will restart at the beginning of the dungeon. If you find Oocca, use him to get out of the dungeon then save. Then when you restart the game use Oocca again and he will take you back into the dungeon at the place where you last were. Just make sure you use him before you re-enter the dungeon.
