Check out its specs (About half way down tha page), it sounds pretty funky to me, especially for the price and its condition...i've asked seller a few questions about the Battery (still waiting for a reply on that)

Anybody own or owned this laptop? any people want to inform me about rumours about this laptop? anybody care about this laptop? didnt think so...but it'd be nice for any insite =) thanks Guys

Yay your back! I haven't heard from you in a while.

Well it is a good price but it isn't that good quality. It has very low cpu (I'm not sure about cpu's for laptops). I think you should get a dell but i'll have a look for a good one on ebay.

Asus are always feature-packed and have incredibly good screens.

+ I hate HP.

Hmm i wouldnt bother, at the schools i work at as an IT guy the teachers have acer duo core 2 travelmate laptops which work a treat and are fairly cheap as in under $2000 and fast.

We run about 200 NC6000's here at work and they are ok. I am on tech support. We have had the odd HDD failure and a couple of motherboard replacements but that is not unusual for any brand. Note I cannot comment on their use for gaming, but as far as reliablility goes, they are pretty good. hope that helps.

Get a pc instead, unless you really really need a notebook
I'm using NC6000 at work and it's been fine.
I believe Compaq Presario V2000 is the same as HP Pavilion dv1000, and they should be fine as well.
If you want wide screen, get the Presario. If not, nc6000 should be fine.
NC6000 is the business model, so you may find parts easier to find and could be cheaper.
So far, I've noticed issue with NC6000 to be batteries, or motherboard to be faulty - but is not that common.

If you're thinking of getting Dell, please get the extended warranty, or prepare to ditch it after 2-3 years.
