Wii Hardware \ MP3 Files

My wii dosnt aknowledge the presence of MP3 files on my SD card, though it clearly says in the instruction booklet that it can read movie files, pic files and mp3 files, and is able to open all of these files.

Can anyone help me with this plz?

The only way I know of that the Wii will play MP3s is to choose it as a custom soundtrack when viewing a Photo Slideshow...

It wont show up on the same screen as the thumbnails of the vids and pics
