I was wondering how to do an ace in Wii Sports?

As far as I know, throw the ball up and wait until there's no acceleration on the ball, ie. the ball is basically hanging in midair, and then hit it. Once you get the hang of it it's easy

they're still not aces, just really fast balls that are harder to hit. If you get an ace you're lucky

Yeah sorry, just fast serves. Although they're basically aces against less competent family members In the same cheap category as the splitter

Killamatt says it all... One of my friends used to do it quite often. But it is no fun playing against him as he keeps on winning with that cheap trick. Would like to challenge him in a real game of tennis!!

tehcid said it correctly. When the ball reaches the top of the throw thats when you swing. Quite easy once you get the hang of it.

Exactly, and there is a correct moment to do it plus you must keep the controller flat as possible not twisted.

I tend to swing my arm up to serve and instead of swinging down again, I flick my wrist down fast. That tends do work a lot of the time. I suggest just practicing a few different methods described here and seeing what works best for you.

Chambalam: Instead of going to the loo, why don't you show your mate how to do it properly?

Returning those fasts serves is easy if you hold the wiimote back as if you were holding a tennis racket and were about to hit a ball. Most people hold the remote in front of their body and by the time you bring it back and then swing the ball has passed you.

ye I always return those balls, not very hard once you get used to the speed. You have to anticipate it

Too true.. it's much easier being in position and just swinging forwards, you just need the co-ordination/reflexes once a fast serve rockets towards you, but not too hard

I've played around with the serving and I manage to get fast serves even with fairly lazy swings, I think the timing is essential. It's a pity really, I'd have preferred a system similar to the pitching in baseball which gauges your throwing strength nicely. It'd add to the immersion, for sure.

Well you tried mate. You tried.

I get a bit cranky sometimes when I lose, but I've never broken anything. I saw a guy smash a keyboard to bits when his ghost got taken out in Starcraft once. It wasn't even his computer. He doesn't like to lose much. That's why it's so much fun beating him.

Yeah, I'd love to be at a LAN party with him. I'd have to feed him some Red Bull and Vodka.

Returning fast serve is easy, but I usually returning the ball, low and fast, towards the opponent at the front and she will make a quick hit to a wide angle. If my guy at the front is not near, the ball is impossible to save.

I saw the computer returns fast serve with high flyers. How do I do that? Swing upward more?

tennis annoys me how if someone serves to you and it isnt one of those fast ones, u can just flick ur wrist and there out, its pointless.

About Ace, I never see computer opponent serve Ace before, so I assume if you are at the left court, ball must serve to your backhand position. If you are at the right court, ball must serve to your forehand position.

Ace doesn’t exist in Wii sport tennis to make the game easier. Correct me if I am wrong.
