id imagine a game launch on a thursday tends to be more logical - thats usually when catalogue sales start, u would have noticed most consoles, games etc are on sale on thrusdays - thus, the wii launch.

a game like mario galaxy on a sunday when most queensland retailers bar brisbane are closed...... nah.

You're probably right. The April 1st release date is the date on EB computers, which probably gives more of a rough estimate of when the game will come out.

Y'all probably notice that whatever catalogues you get in the junk mail all seem to coincide around Thursdays, as do the premiere nights for new release movies.

there's a bit of a games drought at the moment which is normal for a console launch. by march/april, we'll hopefully be seeing brawl, and lots of third party stuff coming through like moh vanguard, prince of persia, tiger woods etc. etc. i'd say corruption will be end of Q2/start of Q3, and mario just before christmas.

the games we've seen so far are no indication of wii's potential. this is perfectly normal, it happens with new consoles. latest example being the 360, which started off quite slow, and has taken about a year to hit its strides (compare perfect dark zero to gears of war, for example).

by the end of 2007, we'll have seen games that truly take advantage of the hardware, and those are the games that wii should be judged upon.
