I have recently purchased a Nintendo Wii Intercooler System off ebay for $16.99 and i wanted to tell everyone about it. I first heard about it at Ebgames.com. Here is a link with some information about the Intercooler system

"Reduce the internal operating temperature of the Nintendo Wii while prolonging the consoles lifespan. The Wii Intercooler is a snap on cooling attachment that easily connects to the system to significantly reduce the internal heat of the console. The Wii Intercooler provides increased air flow throughout the system which allows the internal circuitry to perform at cooler temperatures and last longer. No internal modification of the system is required. A pass through power connection utilizes the existing Wii power supply negating the need for an extra AC adapter. The unit also powers on and off automatically with system and the intercoolers small size will fit in tight spaces like entertainment centers with your system displayed in either horizontal or vertical format."

I brought it off Ebay for $16.99 AU Delivered. The average shop price in the USA is $19.99 US. It has not arrived in Australia yet and i don't know when or if it will.

I would have thought the existing cooling fan would have been satisfactory. I suppose time will only tell. Anyway, having the extra cooling fan wont hurt and for that price, its cheap insurance.

Let us know how it goes ie. fittment, extra noise etc and if there is a noticeable difference in the temperature of the case.

For those of us with the Wii in a confined space, it may be of benefit.

Pointless. If Nintendo (or anyone) released a product that could overheat just by using it too much they'd be in major sh*t. You simply can't do that with consoles, and if it DID happen then it's grounds for immediate replacement of the unit, which in turn would cost Nintendo millions.

PC's are a completely different matter all together.

The XBOX 360 is constant overheater! The Wii doesnt get hot enough to warrant an extra cooling system. If it is, then you probably have it in a place with poor ventilation.

It also says on the EB site that the cooling system wont be released until 1st Feb. What did the eBay person say? Thats probalby why you havent received it yet.
