ok guys, I've noticed a lot of threads being locked (i'm being serious here), so what constitutes a 'waste of bandwidth'

for example: i find it interesting to note how many wii gamers are female considering i would assume the vast majority are male, but now we don't get the chance to find out...

anyway, why is there a social board? what are we allowed to discuss on it?

also, is there a rules thread somewhere? a topic i created was 'reported' (whatever that does) so I had a look after that to find the rules and see if my post was actually breaching any

Basically threads are meant to be possitive and usefull. Social threads aren't meant to degrade or single particular people out. Saul locked that thread for well defined reasons, however I would have let it be. But it was his decision and I stand by that.

Pointless threads are barely social as you could imagine - such as ones that only have 2-3 people conversing within it. They just take up MyMedia bandwidth. So we do our best to keep the forums limited to usefull and productive matters.

Social; talk about anything. that is appropriate of course. so you can talk about last nights ep of family guy or something along the lines of that. there are other discussion threads for the console itself. we all need a little bit of a break of talking about the wii.

Surelly were better having happy members then locked threads and banned members with alternative opinions.

We are unlike GameSpot / IGN / Sony's Nazi forums, we don't try to lock and delete everything our members say. We encourage it, unless it is spam. It might take our new moderators a little adjusting, but I believe we will get there.

Extremely sorry guys, it's not that I take my moderation abilities to far, it's that I don't know the extent of this website and what MrWii was aiming for as I didn't have to much of a talk with him.

But after having a talk with him I do realise his aim, and everyone elses, and I won't be locking or removing such threads that do promote healthy relationships within this website.

I moderate other hardcore websites for games, and the way we did things wasn't as Nazi like as these ones, and I do appologise.
So lets get this website back on the ball.
