Wii Hardware \ Question - Accessories

Does anyone know if accessories from say the US are compatible with the Wii's sold in Australia? So if you bought a wiimote or nunchuck in the states, would it work here?

We all know their games won't work here (till some clever chap chips the Wii!). Wouldn't have a clue with the controls and other stuff. Anyone tried yet??

It's safe to say it would work. If you could get a cheap deal from overseas, i would do it myself. It's exactly the same technology. The only difference between the PAL/NTSC Wii's is the region locking.

Actually Foetoid, PAL/NTSC is a colour encoding system, not a region lock. Either way, the controllers operate from Infrared and Bluetooth, so I'm fairly certain they would work the same anywhere.

PAL/NTSC only applies to the games and console.
