go to your local electronics [dick smith stocks them] shop and buy a Sanyo Eneloop Battery Charger it comes with 4 ready to use AA eneloop batteries that last for 16hrs of Zelda T.W and take 8-9 hrs to charge i have had my charger for 6 months with no problems

it really dose not matter what type of charger you get is the batteries. That come with it the Eneloop batteries are 2000 mAh the higher the mAh the longer the charge in side the battery will last eg energizer nonrechargeable batteries are 3500 mAh the Eneloop batteries are $20 for 4 so the charger only worth $10

So i bought 3 x 25 of Super Heavy Duty battery from Coles for $10 each. So that's 75 batteries for 30 bucks.

Bought some Everedy Lithiums which worked for a couple of days then my wiimote stopped working altogether,rang nintendo who said i should be using only alkaline batteries.
Luckily EB swapped the wiimote straight over.
Now ill stick to the 10 Packs of Alkalines(cost me about $7)

nintendo clearly just wants to discourage you from using lithium-ion AAs, which can be pretty dangerous (hence are not available over the counter).

oh and i've got eneloops too, great stuff!
