I think when you purchase a console it should come with the controlers you need to play ALL the games. The only exception to this really is special gimicky accesories like guns or guitars that are really only specific to a few games

Gamecube controller/Classic controller yes, they will be used for this game. No ifs or buts. I imagine that Nintendo will release a bundle with controller to all the people out there (all 1 of you) that don't have a Gamecube controller or Classic controller.

Haha it's about the 4th time people have debated this on mywii.com.au but I really see no problem in fact I'm all for the classic control scheme in SSBB. Think about it if they tried to introduce motion sensation into a game like SSB it would be over complicated and intimidating to the non die hard fan. The choice to use the classic controller and/or cube controller has just said that the development team don't want to ruin a good thing they have with the franchise. All this out of the way regarding the main game that's not to say they wont have mini games that take full advantage of the motion sensor wii-mote and or nun-chuck, lets not forget those damn target mini games in SSB I'm sure they'll do something with that.
