Multiplayer

World at War will feature cooperative gameplay with up to four players via split screen on consoles, or four players online, for the first time in the franchise. In addition, the Wii version will also feature multiple players on one screen. It will also use a perk system similar to Call of Duty 4.[3] Activision has also confirmed the presence of vehicles in multiplayer.[10] The Nintendo DS version will feature online multiplayer.[11] Six new multiplayer game modes have been announced; team deathmatch, hardcore HQ, multi-bomb search and destroy, hardcore free-for-all, war, and capture the flag.[citation needed]

this wont be worth it on wii for multiplayer.. better off getting it on pc for net play.. but it will still be a great singleplayer game.

No no 4 player co-op means 4 online players playing through the single player campaign as a team! Its something I would give my left nut for in COD4 but this game is inevitably going to be not as good but still. At least that what it means for PC maybe the Wii versions different but a 4-player online VS match would be kind of a waste of time so I doubt thats the case.

Shame there won't be a great deal of variety weapon wise being WW2 I mean a rifle is a rifle they're not really much more interesting than each other. And the multiplayer challenges are going to be SO annoying when you have to use un-modded iron sights. I remember the MP44 in COD4 which has the worst iron sight in history and I had to get 150 HS with the damned thing because its the only gun in the game that can't have a Red Dot Sight or ACOG or any other mods now I'll have to do it all over again and then with another 10,000 samey guns! Uncool!

I'm not sure whether to get World at War or Quantum of Solace. I've played Goldeneye since I was 8, and I love it, but this looks really good too, I really don't know now.

Somebody make my mind up for me. They both sound so awesome.

Thats a tough one I mean if it was Infinity Ward doing World at War it'd be an easy choice but ahh... do you like modern day shooters over WW2? Thats gotta be a big deciding factor.. got more sweet guns in Quantum of Solace?
Maybe less massaging of the American ego? But IW have usually been less up on that than those MOH wankfests... I didn't play the Treyarch COD... how was it?

Hmmmmm......I played CoD IV on PC, and that was sooo awesome, so I guess I'm thinking that that is what World at War will be like. But since CoD IV had some complex physics engine, and Wii games tend to be dumbed down compared to other console games, I think I shall go with Quantum of Solace, for the reason that I don't want to be dissapointed with CoD, and that since Quantum of Solace is meant to be like Goldeneye, I WANT IT!!!!!

You might be thinking of Quantum of Solace, which is 12-player.

Umm. Both World At War and Quantum of Solace are built on modified versions of the CoD4 engine, so both games are going to be dumbed down compared to PC CoD4. In fact, if you buy a shooter on a console you are always going to be screwed out of features compared to buying it on PC, and that's the way it is.
