That's BS. A game made for a specific console will pwn a PC in every way.

I laugh at PC dorks when they get RSI from using keyboard controls.

Comparison: Gears 360 vs. Gears PC = Gears 360 Win.

PC's are for blogging, flaming, spamming, arguing, trolling and watching "movies". Consoles are for gaming.

Only if the team that is porting it to PC screws it up bigtime. Mass Effect was an excellent PC port, with PC-specific changes to the UI and features that improved the game (like being able to command individual squad members). It was well optimised and ran very well. Lost Planet, on the other hand, was not a good PC port. Bad optimising, slippery controls. And I haven't mentioned games made for PC and then ported to console yet. The limited controls a controller affords makes what is a simple game on the PC pretty complicated. Case in point: Morrowind PC vs Morrowind Xbox.

They are doing something wrong. I am more comfortable at the desk in front of the PC than I am in front of the TV because I've set my space up to be ergonomically sound. Besides, I laugh at console dorks when they get RSI from using a Claw grip while playing FPS.

Gears PC had more natural controls, higher resolution, Unreal editor, and "about 20 percent" extra content; the escape from and battle with the Brumak. The 360 version is superior for lacking all these?

Soooo wrong. Consoles are for dumb gamers, PC's are for smart gamers.

And every GTA on PC has surpassed that of the console version by a long way, so yeah I will be buying it.

Yeah, real smart. So smart that they have to constantly upgrade their PC's every time a new game comes out. This is yet another area where consoles pwn: you buy it one time (unless it's a 360, which will RRoD, forcing you to buy another one!) and then you don't have to pay any more until the next generation of consoles.

Desi: I had Gears PC and despite the extras I thought it sucked, in comparison to the 360 (or real) version.
I loathed the controls, although I admit that I am prejudiced against keyboards.
Also, extra content does not automatically make for a superior game.

BTW, as comfortable as you are at your desk, I'm pretty sure I'm more comfortable sitting on my La-Z-Boy, in front of my 46" Viera, playing UT3 at 1080P!

That is a giant myth. A computer that costs less than $1200 will play any game for the next three years. Towards the end of that it may not play games at full graphical quality because the production quality of PC games is always pushing the hardware (whereas console games are made for the lowest common denominator), but it will play them at console-level graphics.

You could upgrade more often of course. I upgrade perhaps every two years, but the cost is less than a new console (I upgraded my graphics card recently for $300). The cost is further offset when you consider that you need a computer anyway, and you would have been paying $400-800 for a home PC in the first place.

Also, you don't need a big screen for a very large, well-defined picture if you're sitting only an arm's length from it. 26" or 32" will do. Not that there's anything stopping me from hooking my PC up to the 46" in my living room.
