Hi everyone.

Yes I'm an old fart (by gaming standards anyways) 38 years old started playing computer/console games at the age of 11.

If you've been playing for 20 plus years tell us what you played, your first computer/console etc.

My first computer was a "Dick Smith Wizzard" or Creativision as it was known in the states. Games were cartridge based some games and programs involved the use of a datasette cassette player. It took 10 minutes or more to load programs from the datasette.
I still have this machine in its original box.

Nintendo Wii

My favourite game from yesteryear was Castle Wolfenstein 2d on the apple. I remember playing that when I was about 13 and I was amazed by the digitized voices!

NAh im in my prime gaming years. I started on Sonic the hedgehog games for the sega megadrive. Man those were the best!

Yeah, I've seen some older guys being called some nasty things to do with their age on Call of Duty, Battlefield 2 etc, you must be a very good player if you have been play for so long man. If not, sorry.

I am a console gamer now though, I got sick of computers because of all the problems you get when playing games, where as consoles are built for them, so no problems, the only thing that can be a problem is the connection to your internet I guess.

Haha, understandable. I have pretty good reflexes but I put the aiming speed on slow for more accurate shots so immediate turning it where I can be disadvantaged. I don't always have the best aim though.

I built "Stunt rider" in 1977 and made some money making it for other kids at school. It had 4 modes of gameplay involving and Evel Knievel type of character leaping over buses.

My first proper console (with cartridges) was the Fairchild F in 1976.

I have built several computer kits since the early 1970's and am a qualified Electronic Engineer.

Now here's an old fart! j/k

Did make a couple of games in basic on the apple and Wizzard for my own curiosity mainly never had the patience to keep going with it though.

I did make a game on the Wizzard which involved a little tank running across the screen and shooting at a plane flying overhead couldn't do much more than that with only 1 kilobyte of ram and my very limited programming skills.
