I would be keen to know if anyone has the old strap. Techinally we shouldnt have got them due to the time between releases but I guess its a possibility. Mine are fairly fat and look like the new ones. Now I hope people dont just say yeah mine are thin so they must be old. We need to source the width of the new cord before we can have a real comment.

Maybe I should do some research. It is posted on Nintendo Australia's site so we must have some of them as well. Please use the following link as it is Australian relevant.

my straps look fairly thin - checking out the pics side by side, my straps look like the old ones, but I was under the impression that AUS didn't get the old straps. neither here nor there as i tend to actually hold onto my wiimote like a fine glass of red

why dont they create a form like everywhere else! why should other states have to make an std phonecall just to receive xtra safety for those who are stupid enough to act like an idiot whilst playing.

meccamune. I have two motes - the same as you. Not at home to check. Are you able to measure the thicknesses and post it back up here so we can all compare..

3. Postage details and phone number
4. A package will arrive in a couple of days. please return your old straps in the envelope provided.

well...annirowe
using my trusty metal ruler, measuring from the left of the string to the right, one is approx. 0.75mm and the other is 1mm.

(if my measurements are accurate) although a difference of 0.25mm doesn't seem much, 1mm does look alot stronger than 0.75mm.

that pic posted my bingobob is misleading in my view, it looks like theres alot of difference when your looking at it in real life...

If you are going to ring up and ask for one you need the number from the bottom of your console (LAH something or other).

If you don't do it today then the support office opens up again next Wednesday.

Sure, but are you the only person who is going to play with it?

While I'm sure I will be fine with it I know friends are going to use it too and am not willing to bet my tv/wall/whatever on nobody stuffing up (especially if alcohol is added to the mix)!

Yeah as much as I love introducing friends and family to the Wii I cringe the first time they swing to hit a baseball or send down a killer bowling ball!

You may trust yourself but what about everyone else.

I have lost the remote numerous times now. But when bowling or doing things which involve throwing the remote, I setup to the side of the TV so if it does go flying it will only hit the wall.

Wii Play probably has the thick one. That's where I got my thick one...

i agree with stoopid.

they need to improve the straps more. the little bit which tightens it, always comes loose on me, and i have to keep adjusting it. i might think up a better wriststrap in the new year
