Wii Software \ Valve Clearly Just Ain't Interested In The Nintendo Wii (or PS3)

It seems when it comes to developing games that Valve clearly only wants the XBOX360 to be the console to receive titles, as Valve in an interview revealed they were developing games for the XBOX360.

Valve’s Own Doug Lombardi says Valve have new products in development for 360, but still isn’t interested in PS3 or Wii.

So guess we miss out on some great FPS action but at least we aren't the only ones.

The Wii's graphics aren't as great as XBOX 360's or PS3's for sure, but great graphics can still be produced on the Wii, even if they are downscaled to low-res.

Take Resident Evil 4 for example... the graphics in that were originally developed in high definition, and scaled down for use on the current gen consoles for that time, which were still standard-def, but it STILL manages to sport kick-ass graphics!

It's completely illogical to ignore the Wii just because it doesn't have HD, or Blu-Ray capabilities, or a cheese grater. Wii is still brilliant platform for games... imagine what waggle features could do for Valve's future games.

So it's illogical that The Orange Box wasn't on Wii? They don't support the console for two reasons.

1. The amount of cheap, shovel-ware coming out for the console (Ninjabrea man, anyone).
2. The power of a system doesn't ONLY distinguish how graphically powerful the game is. GTAIV would not have been possible on Wii without taking Euphoria out, which would make the game pointless. The hardware of a system affects more than just the graphical presentation of a title. You have movement, relationship development, extensive areas, interaction, as well as graphics.

Valve don't support Wii because it limits what they can do in the game. Forget about the Wii-mote.

Were not missing out on much. What games are they truly developing that are Ultimate seriously? Half life 2 was lame in my opinion.
