Wii Software \ WiiKey - What Version?

Hello All,

I just purchased a 2nd Hand wii with a WiiKey, and i have a downloaded version of SSBB, and when i go to play it the screen just turns black but i can here the music?

Do i need to update my Wiikey software to a later version?
And how do i check if it already is the latest Version?

Something like that anyway, just change it from 60hz to 50hz.

If that doesn't work then go to www.wiikey.cn and download the resource 1.9s update.

I think you can check with the config disc on this same page, there will be instructions included.

ahh okay, well it worked in 50 hz mode, but the graphics looked pretty appalling and the game in general seems a bit slow, im getting component cables soon, would it work with the HDTV settings?

Also, seems to be chugging (the Wii Itself) Sounds like a Old Floppy Disk Drive

It's because you have an NTSC version. There's really not much you can do unless you get a PAL version. The Wii DVD drive apparently doesn't read dual layered discs too well.

HD won't change anything.

Also do you know if the disc you put it on is + or -

yes it does for dual layer discs (ssbb) use +R for normal games use -R , apparently they read better.

and as for appalling graphics ,thats just ssbb for ya

use +R for dual layer games which ssbb is .
ssbb is 7.8gb in size thus bigger than all other games on wii at the moment
use -R for normal games like resident evil.

yer i remember i had to update my wiikeys firmware to 1.9s(the latest) so that it played my legit american copy of brawl. and i hasd to change tv settings to either 50Hz or 60Hz (cant remember which) and i have to make sure the deflicker is off everytime i turn off the game or it wont load with an image n i have to do whole thing again which is a pain, so i just leave deflicker off and it is all fine.
