Get the classic controler. We are in Wii times now so lets use Wii stuff. Also its really light. Cheaper too

Yes.

I don't have a classic controller yet. I plan to buy one soon though..
$30 shouldn't be much..

Though, keep in mind, GameCube controller has rumble
and Classic doesn't.

Do VC games even support rumble?

Well, for instance, you can use a GC controller for SSBB if you want rumble. Though I hear lots of people don't like rumble..

i have been playing donkey kong country with gc controller but it is awkward because it is hard to press certain buttons when u try to press them at the same time. i will most likely get the classic soon.

Isn't that better? I can't count the amount of times I've tried lying in bed and playing OoT, with a 'cube control and almost ripped my Wii onto the floor.

If not, I'd say the Cube controller is the better of the two. It's so well proportioned and is compatable with most VC/WiiWare games. Those games that you can't play with the cube-con you can use your Wiimote sideways. Then of course there's games such as Kart and SSBB that you can use it with aswell. The only drawback is the cord, it can be a pain if your Wii isn't very close to your sitting position. You could always go wireless and get a WaveBird, but they still retail new for around the $60 mark.

The classic controller is great with older VC titles (NES/SNES etc.) but the analogue stick is in such and awkward position it makes it really annoying to play with for long periods of time if you need to use it.

In short, if you weigh up the pros and cons, Cube-con wins hands down.
