Wii Software \ My Wii Is Broken!

if im getiing a new wii ill get an sd card and copy all my saved stuff
if i have too
anyone know a way i can fix it with out having to buy (or get another with warranty if covered)

They give you a refurbished one, basically someone else's broken one that is now fixed.

EB will swap it for a new one if you bought the $60 warranty when you payed for it, if not they won't. You'd be better off going to Nintendo, even if warranty doesn't cover it it will be cheaper than buying a new one and you don't lose your VC games.

I did the exact same thing a few years ago with my PS2.

Well I just opened that sucker up & ripped the disc out, put it back together & everything worked still & I got plenty of use out of it over the years, learnt my lesson from that, now Im always careful around the cords. Im not advocating you do what I did but if you dont want to send it away then might be worth a go, open it up & investigate without touching anything inside, if it looks like you can get it out then Id give it a go. I think you also need a special screwdriver so you proberly gonna have to send it back.

Yell at it and hit it a few times. Cant do any more harm right, and it normally works for me.

Warranty will not cover physical damage. If the unit is dropped and there is internal damage then you will probably be **** out of luck and have to pay for labour, parts and shipping.
