Social \ Mac on a Vista Laptop

Ok so i have a brilliant gaming laptop and it is vista - my mum got it a year ago and wants me to have it another 3 yrs atleat. I enjoy digital editing but hated macs, but my friend told me about ILife - after several youtube videos later im in love.

Now i want a mac to get ilfe but being 13 and all i dont have the $$. So my friend suggests that i can put mac on my external hardrive and also still have vista. but i am worried that mac might delete windows. Has anyone else done this?

Also if you have a mac that you are willing to give up that would run ilife 08 we can talk!

There are some pretty good compatibility lists on the OSX86 Wiki, but that's currently down because the guy who runs it has sold it, and it might take a while to set back up.

Just google "Osx86" or "Hackintosh", it should give you some pretty good info, but as I said, don't get your hopes up, there are only a select few computers that can run Mac properly.

Do you have MSN? I could give you advice much easier that way.

Anyway wiiman..... I guess the simplest way to start this discussion is to let us know what type of Laptop you have... Be very specific... Model Number, CPU, RAM etc...
