WiiPlay generally sells for $35 on eBay and I don't really know why people even pay that.

It could all work out well for someone if they sold WiiPlay for $35 and then ended up getting another Wiimote out of it, a working one.

Yes, most games are $50+ but, wii play comes with a "working" wiimote at the cost of only $10ish more than just buying a wiimote by itself. Also, where is this pokemon gold that your title suggested?
