First, this will have spoilers of the game rewards received in Lego Star Wars, so if you don't want to know stop now.
Like many, I have played and loved Lego Star Wars. I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I do have one gripe that I hope the developers will address in future Lego games. Namely, the so called "rewards" for collecting all 160 gold bricks and for completing 100% of the game. Lets look at each in turn:
160 Gold bricks
- When I did this, I built a machine that spits out studs and unlocks all extra's.
- Problem 1: I already had all the extras and I had collected more studs than I could possibly need.
- Problem 2: At the rate at which is spits out studs (and they are all silver) you would have to stand there for a while to get anywhere, even with all multipliers turned on
- Net benefit of this reward to me: Zero
100% game completion:
- I was able to build a custom character that has super jedi powers.
- Problem: I've completed 100% of the game. So.........why do I need this character????
- Net benefit of this reward to me: Zero
This could have been better thought out. If the reward is to provide you with abilities that make the game easier then shouldn't it be provided at a time when you may actually still need it? Personally, I think that better rewards could have been more bonus levels or something else that you could then use the super characters for.
Just my 2c.
