Adam Gilchrist is my favourite player and will be sadley missed, but he made it clear that he would only go out on his terms and not be forced to quit.
On Saturday he made the announement that he is retieing from all forms of cricket, which came as a shock to everyone around the cricketing world.
He was in my opinion, The Greatest Wicketkeeper Batsman in the history of the game, and will be missed dearly.
He was a great Wicketkeeper, Batsman and Entertainer.
His Test Carrer was fantastic, despite a glitch in the radar over the past 2 years.

He is 36, he could have gone on another year, but decided that he had done everything he had wanted to do.
