Yeah, Japan sure did roll with the Axis party in those days. That era of history was a pretty horrible time for the whole of the world.
Hitler did believe he and the Nazi party were driving Germany to redemption from the suffering and disastrous events that happened when Germany lost WWI. Unfortunately, some of his ideals were completely inhumane and unmoral, such as the attempted eradication of all Jews (The Holocaust) in an attempt to make a 'perfect' race. Jews weren't the only people. He hated just about nearly every other race, and any person who disagreed with him or had ethical differences. He tried to kill off disabled people and homosexuals etc.
He corrupted the youth of Germany into believing these ideals, and even more than 60 years after WWII, there are people that still believing what Hitler did was good and justified (Neo-Nazis)
