DDR is played with a dance mat.
You stand on the dance mat which contains 4 areas on the mat signified by arrows. Up arrow, Down arrow, Right Arrow and Left arrow. With the 4 arrows you must step them in different sequences at the right time and in time with the music. The sequence is displayed to you on the screen and if done correctly will sort of resemble real dancing.
The wii version will include hand movements as well.
