Well - any BMI test will tell you the same. I was in the RAAF and the fitness test for medical requirements was (and still is) the BMI - so it's not he Wii-Fit's issue in as much as it is a standards issue. Western medicine adopted the BMI as a tool - not nintendo.

Muscle weighs more than fat, which is why 'muscelly' guys get mistaken for 'porkers' on WiiFit.
Which is really dissapointing..

BMI is only an index which takes account weight against height. it is universal and therefore the same index is flawed for this reason of not taking into account muscle mass.
it would have been nice implementation for the board to have fat or muscle detection...but i guess that would cut profits by $3 and times that by how many are sold...thats millions...

i dont know how this would put off people unless they didnt know what the BMI calculated in the 1st place.
