Any Wii owner might as well get Galaxy. It gets my award for Game of The Year 2007. Well, why is it so great? The story starts with the celebration of the Star Festival. Peach sends Mario an invitation to come over. She also says she has a little something for him. When Mario gets there Bowser crashs the party and brings Peach and her castle in to orbit by attaching it to one of his airships. Mario tries to save her but Kamek blasts him far away in the opposite direction. He then meets Rosalina and the Lumas. Rosalina is the leader of the Comet Observatory and the lumas are star people who look at her like a mother. Rosalina entrusts Mario with a silver luma who gives him thae ability to do a spin attack. Mario then goes to collect stars to power up the Comet Observatory. The new power-ups are Bee Mario, Boo Mario, Spring Mario, Ice Mario and the return of Fire Mario and Invincible Mario. Bee Mario gives Mario flight and the ability to stick to honeycombs. Boo Mario can float and turn invisible to go through some walls. Spring Mario moves like a slinkee and can jump really high. Ice Mario can freeze cold water and hot lava. Fire Mario is unchanged but it is fun to throw fireballs with a flick of the wiimote. The game brings platforming to a totally new level. Collecting starbits is simple. Aim the pointer at the screen to collect them. You can launch them at enimies to stun them or feed them to hungry lumas who can open up new galixies for you to explore. There are 120 stars to collect so even after you beat Bowser you have more places to explore. Gravity is a huge part of the game so it can take some geting use to. You may fall off the ledge sometimes but sometimes gavity will save you. The controls are simple and easy to understand, so you won't have any trouble with them. A friend can drop in and you can play co-op. Your friend can collect starbits, stun enimies and can give you a double jump. So they can be some real help to you. The Graphics are very colorful. The Character models are more detailed and the background has been brushed up. The Music is peacefull and lovely. It makes me wish they were on my i-tunes. Overall Galaxy is one great game. This game never gets old and its replay value is high. The Game is obviously worth your purchase and well be a nice add to your collection of games. This game is a new way to look at platforming. Graphics: 10/10 Colorful and Bright. Enviorments and character models look great and the water effects are sweet. Story: 10/10 Although, He still has to save Peach. Galaxy adds a new "space" twist. There are also some cameos from Luigi. Gameplay: 10/10 Has there ever been a bad Mario platformer? No, and this is one of the best. Sound: 10/10 Cheerful tunes are here that can always brighten up a bad mood.
