I reckon they should be made to kneel down on rock salt or mung beans for an hour - arms stretch out while holding some heavy books - each time they did something wrong. that's how they used to punish wayward kids in the philippines (i think some still do that today).

I saw it a couple of hours ago, but why!? 30 police is really not THAT many. 500 kids is really not THAT many. There was a party about the same distance from me (20 min drive or so) around 6 months ago, i was meant to go, it had around 600 people. Police came, tear gassed everyone, party eventually split up after a heap of fights, it makes the front page of the LOCAL paper. That was it. I don't see what's so special about this, there's vandalism worse than this every night of the week across this world, just shows when the media latches onto something they just HAVE to make it seem worse than what it was.

Hainaku: Phillipines has the highest rate of crime or some crap like that doesn't it? Now we know why! Physical punishment just doesn't work in a civilized country or culture, it causes more harm than good. Just look at all the high school shootings in the US.
