lol this corey dude is oviously a tosser..... he think he's all that in front of the camera but when he comes back to reality and realises his folks are gonna kick the crap outa him and he gets that $20,000 fine (i hope he does) he will think twice before throwing any parties.

What a dickhead thinks its kool to trash other peoples property when throwing a party..... goes to show how well this kid has been taught by his parents....

Typical little fag..... likes to do things but when they get out of control... he doesn't wanna be a man own up and take resposibilities for his actions.

I hope he gets CANNED by both the cops with that massive fine and other people in his street

I laughed my ass off because I saw the news ticker on the today show this morning that said,"Melebourne teenager that had open house party says "best party ever", I really had no idea what it was about but that kid is a total schmuck by the sounds of it.

a lot of teenagers would probably think this guy's a legend, others will think he's a loser.

anyway, would anyone really offer this kid a job when he gets older? i hope no one remembers this incident when he turns up for the interview!

I remember my days at school and there was an open house party nearly every Saturday night. Every now and then a place would get trashed by a pack of w4nkers, but it didn't make the news.

I can't believe its even news. All it is doing is glorifying this tosser. Well I guess, he thinks and a large portion of teenages probably think that, whereas the more mature parts of society see it for what it really is.

The Victorian teenager whose out-of-control party led drunken youths to attack police with rocks and bottles could make up to $10,000 from his escapade.

A party promoter now says he's prepared to offer 16-year-old Corey Delaney a job with his events company as a party promoter.

"(Corey) did a great job in the wrong place — I think he'd be very successful," said Tim Sabre, director of Raw Entertainment.

Oh dear.

This sort of crap is what is wrong with society. How can kids learn right from wrong when wankers get rewarded and people who are the victims are the ones who get punished?

Deluge - desi, be careful what you wish for!

Anyway, kids nowadays get away with everything. I reckon they should be made to kneel down on rock salt or mung beans for an hour - arms stretch out while holding some heavy books - each time they did something wrong. that's how they used to punish wayward kids in the philippines (i think some still do that today).

WHY HAS THIS GONE INTERNATIONAL!??!!?!?!? Whaaaat the hell?!

I saw it a couple of hours ago, but why!? 30 police is really not THAT many. 500 kids is really not THAT many. There was a party about the same distance from me (20 min drive or so) around 6 months ago, i was meant to go, it had around 600 people. Police came, tear gassed everyone, party eventually split up after a heap of fights, it makes the front page of the LOCAL paper. That was it. I don't see what's so special about this, there's vandalism worse than this every night of the week across this world, just shows when the media latches onto something they just HAVE to make it seem worse than what it was.

Edit

Hainaku: Phillipines has the highest rate of crime or some crap like that doesn't it? Now we know why! Physical punishment just doesn't work in a civilized country or culture, it causes more harm than good. Just look at all the high school shootings in the US.

the media used that story as a filler (when there is nothing much to report) in the nightly news, but unfortunately it was the one that got all the attention.

IAMColonel - i agree, but the high crime rate is caused by extreme poverty, unfortunately. theft is the highest, but murder rate is nowhere near the US. however, from experience, most people you come across are still helpful and polite, regardless of their status. Here in Sydney i once had an unemployed man approach me for money, i gave him 50c which was the only change i had in my pocket - he abused and yelled at me for not giving more, WHAT A TOOL! just like this Corey bloke...

OK back to the topic!
