i dont think you guys are "quite" getting it
He cant really spend over 850...its not a budget, its his ONLY amount of money...sure he could earn more and w.e
but he feeels rushed to buy a pc so he can stay connected after moving..ive been talking to him for ages about buying a pc, trying to give advice...
a few days ago, his pop gave him a laptop, with windows 2000, and a 10/100 ethernet...i told him thats all he needs to stay connected, and it does word processing for school. It was a free laptop, and its his forver...can some others please help me to re-assure hayden that the laptop is all he needs for a while, so he can take MORE time looking into this computer.
You should always know EXACTLY what your buying, every bit of it, so when you buy it...its like your little baby, and your easier to identify and problems or etc....
so instead of giving extended budgets or discussions pwnage PCU's and Graphics cards...
lets give hayden the right support so he can make the RIGHT decision for him...its not about the best Computer, its about the best computer setup - for him!

There is no point building one myself, because my parents wouldn't let me and would want something with a warranty, blah blah blah. As i've said before, you have all been kids.

Stuart knows the people from Centrecom so he could help me out a bit there.

I don't really want to go Vista yet, i would prefer to get XP now (plus my wifi runs on XP) and get the service pack 2 by uh... buying it from.... shop...... .... ....yes.....

I'll make it simpler, nothing is going to be built by me, i would prefer to get everything by the same place, and please remember i want a semi-decent screen, without going too damn high!

I know i am a pain in the arse, i know that i am asking to get lots for little, i know i can be annoying and change my mind, forgive me, things are hectic here, every post is appreciated and will not be forgotten

With the screen, if wanting a 19", the samsungs are nice. If wanting to spend up to around the $300 mark, a basic 22" like the chimei would be ok. But then again you could spend up a little more to get the asus 222u @ around $360. So yeh its really a matter of how far you want to push the budget.
i just built a new pc, started at a 22" chimei, then returned that to get a samsung 22", then returned that & ordered a dell 24", then a dell 30". So now currently using the 24 and 30" in a duel setup. Indecissivness sucks

Warranty will not be voided at all. Most computer components come with a 1 year warranty

Hmm, building a PC bit by bit isn't too bad. I have done that before. I do it a slightly different way, where by I don't use the actual components. I plan on probably doing that soon to upgrade my PC. Looking at the 3.0ghz Core 2 duo. mmm....
