Codemasters has announced via a press release that they are bringing Emergency Mayhem to the Wii exclusively.

The game is set for release in Q2, 2008 and will put the player at the helm of the three emergency services in a frantic race against time to save Crisis City, a "mad" metropolis. You will need to race against time to save the citizens of the metropolis, and finding shortcuts will be key to your success. When you actually do reach the scene of the emergency the play switches to one of thirty mini-games, which use the Wii remote.

Interestingly enough, a similar title was in development at Acclaim before their demise in 2005 and that game featured over 70 mini-games.

I got this rechargeable battery pack from Target in a pack with some other non-useful stuff, like wrist-straps and a Wii-mote case.



It's Lithium-ion rechargeables, and works really well - get a lot of play time between charges. But the Wii manual says not to use Lithium batteries in the remotes, so I will see if they do any damage eventually!

The charger station is $29.99 from Target online and the whole pack was RRP $49.95 - but it only ended up costing $35 for some reason.

The dock connects to the Wii via USB for power and recharges while the Wii is both running or not in use.

I would be more worried about what the lithium will do to you than what will happen to the Wii remote... however in such a small quantity, you shouldn't have too many issues, unless you have respiratory issues to begin with... just remember, if you notice any pinkish smoke coming out of your control, get the hell away from it.
