MattyD said: Hey TeamWii,

I grabbed a Powerwave docking Station (Light Stand and charger bay for two wii-motes) thinking it looked the Goodz! Plus at $25, seemingly a total Sc0re!

To my annoyance though, It didn't meet my expectations and here are my reasons why:
1. The slots that you place the remotes in are so tight that the charging connections scratch your wiimotes.
2. You are required to wiggle the wiimote around in the slot in order for it to find the right charging position - Ghey!
3. It seems that if there is a slight variation in any atomospheric condition that the charging light switches off requiring a readjustment of the wiimote in it's slot - gheyness plus plus!
4. The batteries provided are AAA which fit into an appropriate battery adaptor. Maybe this is picky but the wii-motes are noticably lighter (I know i'm weird).

So I am taking it back to EB Today for a refund (if they allow it). Just thought I would give you guys a heads up on this docking station.
Have an awesome friday!

I haven't had any issues apart from removing the wrist strap to make the wii-mote fit.

In reference to mAh, the batteries i use are 2650mAh, they were $11 for 2 AAs.

The higher the mAh, the longer it lasts.

Its really a matter of personal opinion. To me the Powerwave one does the Job just fine and it looks good all as one neat unit.(Plus if the batteries end up dying they c an be replaced were as other charging docks cant. The Joytech one does look good too and I have heard good reviews about it, but for me @ $25.00 and the batteries can be replaced down the track, its a great unit - Powerwave

(No unit can charge the remotes with their skins on which is a pitty)

Where can I get the Joytech one for less than RRP ($45)? C:

Also, is it possible to rub the Joytech logo off with metholated spirits or something? If I get one, I want it to be nice and clean looking without logos all over it.

Most of the rechargable ones have built in AAA bateries (usualy around 700mAh), the power wave one is good as you can change them, you can get 1000mAh AAA's for them. still you get more play time out of good quality rechargable AA's (2450mAh)

Aye! But I have silicon protectors. You have to take them off to charge the wii-mote anyway

Hey L3yt0N!

My understanding is that they have the two metal contacts on the back of the battery compartment like the powerwave version. So unfortunately I think that's a Yes.

Yes that's correct, the Joytech one has two metal contacts on the back, I haven't got silicon covers myself though, I was under the impression that they attracted and kept alot of dust, at least that's what my ipod skin did before I piffed it.

I can still leave the straps on whilst charging.

I agree with you Sil. I have the same one and dont have a problem. The only thing I wanna do is change the rechargables to a better brand but thats about it.
