When did you buy your wii? if its less than 15 days you can get a new one straight away, otherwise i suggest you give nintendo a ring.

I dunno if it is the battery packs or not, but the other day i had both controllers on the docking station and i picked them up to press A to let the connect with the Wii and the lights down the bottom flashed but didnt connect. I ended up having to kill the power to the Wii at the wall to make it work again. Then i had 1 remote wouldnt stay connected to the Wii. You could start a game of Wii sports, but it would disconnect every 20 seconds. That controller did it even with normal batteries after i took out the rechargeable pack so my EB games replaced it for me cause i had the reciept. Those are the only two problems i have had that MIGHT be linked to the docking station, but i can't tell if it's just a little malfunction or the cause of the docking station. Those are the only two problems i've had, otherwise it's been great and the battery power lasts for ages. Highly Recommended

I've got the same problem here. Was using nimh rechargeables but switched back to normal batteries, tries re-syncing and still nothing.

I've noticed if I leave the batteries in for a few minutes it gets quite warm around the speaker. That makes me think it's shorted out somewhere. Haven't hit it on anything so I'm guessing it might be a manufacturing fault.
