I got it today. I haven't played it long yet but this is how I feel so far.

First impression: Wow this looks fun.

Gameplay: Its fun but repetitive but what do you expect in a beatem up? No two player ! There are mini games to unlock which extend the life of this game.

Graphics: Very nice

Sound: Good (some voice overs are a bit repetitive)

Controls: Easy. Nunchuk joystick to move, swing wiimote to attack. Other buttons perform jump, dodge, switch turtle, drop from ledge and special move.

Current impression: I think I could get sick of this soon.

It has all the things I usually like in a beatem up but something is lacking and its not drawing me in.

Yeah I have checked all my local video stores and nothing stocks Wii games! Did anyone play one of the turtles games on the PS2, thay were terrible, it was just punch and kick the WHOLE time, no special moves, you had to PUNCH bosses to death.

Bebop & Rocksteady are characters from the early turn of the 90's TMNT cartoons, which were watered down for a much younger audience (for example raphael was changed from agngry psycho to wise cracking comedian). The later games have been built upon the current cartoon series and now the movie. Which both represent a more mature themed turtles as they were originally presented in the mid 80's mirage comic book series where it all started.

I prefer the current theme to the original cartoon. Though I still enjoy the original comics over all else. Were gritty & violent.

So anyway, I wouldnt expect to see bebop and rocksteady anytime soon. They are history.

Raph always had a wise cracking or sarcastic comment to make in the original cartoon (they changed his character as his temper and anger issues were not kid friendly). I think the newer cartoons are a huge improvement. Go back and watch the originals (I did), you will think they were written for 3 year olds.
