EB is evil in that it exploits the ignorant. I cringe every time i see a kid pick up a fully priced game off the shelf, doing the puppy dog eyes (or "the buy this for me or i'll be an embarassing brat" eyes) and then watching the parents fork over a stack of cash. The price matching is not very well advertised but there's a reason for it: they're a business...
On the other hand, if you know what you're doing, then EB is a convenient way to get something if you can't be stuffed getting it from the other store e.g. if it's too far away, or waiting for postage, etc.
I remember there was a old fella in there once buying Halo at full price even though it was launched ages ago. He obviously looked like he didn't know what he was doing 'cause i was in line behind him and he turned around and said "Halo huh? I thought this would be some kind of religious game" to which i couldn't help but smile. I was getting something else at the time, catalogue ready in my hands, so flipped some pages and hey presto, Halo $20 off. So i showed it to him and blatantly explained the price matching to him right in front of the staff and boy did i get the stink eye! (subtle of course but i tell ya it was there)
As Jack Black said: "Kids, that's called stickin' it to the man!"
