I looked in forums and there is no real general discussion for the WVS... so i thought i'd make one .
It's purpose is set to be announced in *enter month here* but in the mean time what else can we do but guess what its gonna do !

What do you think the Wii Vitality Sensor will actually do?

Ohmygosh I love you for making this thread!

Well Nintendo have told us that it'll be able to detect blood flow, and heart rate. Furthermore, people have speculated that because it can detect them, it can be used to help relax yourself.

I can not wait to hear more about this to be honest, uber excited!

I am thinkin it will be related to a game like cursed mountain or juon that scares the crap out of your pants. I would love a game that you get points depending on how long u can last before being **** scared. But since its a nintendo thing and i havent seen nintendo do something like that before .. i doubt it.

It's Nintendo, I am sure they'll surprise us with what it can do exactly, do you remember everyone's reaction to them utilising motion control? But I would love them to include it in horror games, though Nintendo doesn't really do that..CAPCOM might include it in a Resi game. I can't wait, I think it'll be great!

Reminds me of the old N64 Biosensor



Back then it was borderline useless but the concept was kinda cool, but with the Wii it could get more use with some of the fitness games available. Although I doubt we'll see any of the developers patching the already released games to be compatible.

i made the same comparison the n64 version clipped to your ear and worked with tetris 64, i hope that this is where they're headed with the wii vitality sensor.

games that react to stress levels as well as conscious user input open up a whole new world of opportunity but it'll probably just end up being incorporated into 'wii fit plus plus'

It's amazing that Nintendo have done something like this already but they are redoing for the Wii. It's a pity I never got to experience the N64 one. I've said it once, and I'll say it again. I'm uber excited for this!

I was thinking when I first saw the Biosensor if I ever got it I would just clip it to my cat
