After the PS3 Slim craze would you like to see the Wii redesigned? There's no real need for a 'slim' model as such (As the Wii is still about half the size of the PS3 Slim), but perhaps a Wii with 720p support, DVD playback, more memory?

Nintendo's been doing it with their handhelds for a while. Do you think or want/not want them to follow Sony's lead and do it to consoles as well?

I think when Wii sales slow they will release an updated version with dvd etc.. also probably in multiple colours.
im a sucker so I’d probably buy the updated one. why buy a $30 dvd player when i can buy a second wii for $399 with a built in one... woo!

At some point Nintendo might do a re design just to squeeze some extra coin out of it. I'm guessing something like this will happen towards the end of it's lifespan, until then we have coloured Wiis to choose from...

If they do decide to change stuff, I would like it to happen now rather than later. Any later and they might as well make a new system.

We are assuming Nintendo are working on a new system now since they have cashed in big time with the Wii. When the "next" systems comes out that's when Nintendo will most likely do some sort of redesign. Like when the SNES came out Nintendo introduced the NES top loader(not 100 percent on the overlap dates but it was around that time) to get some more life out of the old NES.

Yeah, Toploader was released in '93, and the SNES was released in '91-'92.

Nintendo have told us that a "games console is a games console" and games consoles primarely plays video games, "Good Video games I mean"

But it could be a risky thing If Nintendo Added DVD support and multimedia features, it could probably harm Nintendo's gaming career because the Wii is a console priced at an affordable cost to make gaming accessible and fun for everyone even for the not so wealthy but it costs to run a buisness so it's hard to put a price on such a demograph.

As good as it sounds it may happen in the future, But Nintendo love their job, and they like making video games for people to play.

To Me It's not about the money... It's about playing video games and Myamoto is one swell guy So yes I agree.

actually DECENT online play would be nice....my experience with nintendo online is that its slow, delayed, and freezes a lot...better online capabilities would be the best upgrade along with memory in my opinion
