Should i play FFIV before i play the 'After Years' WiiWare version?

With the Japanese getting the SNES version of FFIV on Virtual Console this month, should i wait for that release and play though that before the sequel? Isn't there also a DS remake with better graphics i could buy for my DS? Opinions plz!

Yeah you should, I'm playing it on the DS at the moment and the storyline is great. If you don't wanna play it, I could tell you all the spoilers if you like

Lol, nah i'm ok. Is there a DS remake? Would it be better to grab that than the SNES original on VC (when it finally comes here of course).

I haven't played the SNES version, but have seen screenshots etc, so I'd definately say go with the DS remake of it as there are better cutscenes and voice acting in the DS remake (I don't think it's in the SNES version, but don't quote me)

I haven't even played FFIV yet, but I still downloaded After Years.
I had never played FF before, so After Years is my first FF game.

I've played the SNES version, it's pretty good but I recommend the new one if you haven't played it.

i can't find FFIV in any stores (im not talking about online). Funny how games get easily lost and forgotten so fast they disappear off the store shelf, yet still keep manufacturing Bratiz, Dogz and Catz.

A ramdon FXII fact my penleno weilds kantna about 5/6 of her size
i will buy this later once i get one of the consoles needed for a FXIII (aiming for a PS3) 400 dollars left to go (that sould take 2months)

You have to get one! They are soo good! I havent even looked at my wii since I got one! FFXIII is going to be fantastic!!!
Oh and another random fact, my Vaan has an axe, which its attack power ranges from 40 to 1000
