I know what you meant Xxmad. They generally can't do anything for a broken nose (I was surprised they could actually straighten it these days) and if it looks different it could well be broken. I mean my nose does look slightly different still, but not as bad as my fathers which is like all bent out of shape.

Nothing to whinge about the operation, just amazing what they can do. Broke just under my eye and upper cheek. They had to put two plates on my skull. They put one plate in through my gum and another through my eye. Back in the day they would have cut half your face open. Just amazing stuff, no scaring at all.

Thankfully it was a fast labour and delivery. Also explains why I only have one kid, that thing they say about you forget the pain and trauma once it's over is a load of crap, nearly 9 years later and I still feel traumatised.
Worst ongoing pain was when I broke my arm in 2 places, they couldn't do anything with my shoulder so I wore a collar and cuff plus had a cast on my wrist for 6 weeks. My skin broke down in the crook of my elbow so it bled and stank bad. I didn't get pain killers for that either.
