One game in particular stands out. Resident Evil 3 Nemesis for PS1. It was back in 99 when the game came out I'll never forget that moment for as long as I live.

I was home alone & it was about 11 at night. I was playing the game as usual & all was well. I can't remember if it was a licker or a brain sucker but for story sake let's say it was a licker.

For those of you that played the game you know that when a "Licker" is above you blood will drop from the ceiling. Well... on this particular night there was no blood & a licker came down & attacked me out of no where. I screamed bloody murder, shut the game off & I don't think I've played a scary game at night since then.

The first scary game I played was the original Resident evil on PS1, I used to listen to a cd when I played it to take my mind off the scary goings on, the only problem with that was that I couldn't listen to that cd of a night after that because because it made me think about resident evil and get scared again, lol (now I feel kinda silly, lol)

Also the previously mentioned game about taking photos of the ghosts (project zero in PAL territories)some of those ghost looked scary as hell. I never finished that game because I ran out of film on one of the bosses and couldn't take enough photos of it to beat it and I couldn't find anymore film no matter where I looked, lol

Particularly as you leave the first house. I didnt see the zombie waiting in the shack.

Also the chanting monks. When you are in first person mode lining up a shot and you hear the chanting sound really close. And you are almost too scared to turn around because you know one of them have just snuck up behind you.

I have seen a lot of reduced copies of F.E.A.R so I might buy one next time.

God, I love System Shock 2. I'll have to reinstall Windows just to play that. Co-op in that game was incredible.
