EA Playground officially announced
EA has officially confirmed via a press release that one of the new IP's they're developing for the Wii is EA Playground. EA Playground will also be coming to the Nintendo DS and is a game designed for kids and "the kid inside all of us." It was revealed last month that EA Playground was in development but details were scarce.
“Young, old, male or female -- EA Playground has something for everyone,” said Executive producer Dave McCarthy. “EA Playground transports you to your fantasy playground, packed with interesting characters, over-the top gameplay, and a ton of collectables. Kids can bring the excitement of the playground home, and parents or even grandparents can re-experience their childhood thrills.”
The press release was rather vague on what exactly we can expect from the game, but one of the examples provided was that you will be able to swing the Wii remote to excel in tetherball. In the DS version you'll be able to fire spitballs with the Nintendo DS microphone or battle friends in Dodgeball.
