Australian Gaming Sales Week Ending November 8

Mario Kart Wii has bumped off the more serious racing sim to take out top spot this week. It's joined by the more recent Wii Fit Plus bundle in second place. Cricket on Wii is proving popular in 3rd, although, the game was released on other platforms back in August as Ashes Cricket 2009. Rabbids Go Home has also done well in its first week, and has ensured the top 4 places belong to the Wii.

Tekken 6 is the only other new entry this week, in at number 6 on the PS3. Forza Motorsport 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, which held the top two places last week, are down to number 5 and 7 respectively.

NO WAI! MK is a much more serious racer, there's no rewind feature in MK

The ever growing sales of Wii Fit (and now Wii Fit +) and Mario Kart continue to amaze me. MW2 will make a huge splash next week but I wonder how long it will stay there for?

At least the amount of sales of Wii Play seems to have slowed

There's no fail there, it's a ten buck game really and it's easily worth the asking price. It would be nice if MS or Sony offered a cheap pack in with their controllers (or at least MS points or PS Store ca$h cards)

Anyway Wii Play has got cow racing, the tank game's a good time waster too but c'mon, COW RACING!

staying powah is teh win! plus we all know that it's a false entry and not really a full priced game.

Maybe we should ask GFK to publish the top 11 while Wii Play is on store shelves?
