News \ E3 '08 Wrap Up: Call of Duty - World at War Reveal Trailer

Okay, so we skipped Call of Duty 4 but now Call of Duty World at War is coming in epic proportions. Featuring a slightly more open style of play, multiplayer, vehicles and one hell of an awesome looking flame thrower, COD:WAW certainly looks to be the big winner in shooters this November!

As for World at War it does look good but then again so did CoD3 and ever since CoD3 I have a big dislike to the CoD series (mind you that didn't affect my opinion towards CoD4, I just didn't like how easy the game was...and for those who've played the game I am talking about the epilogue on veteran as well)

Were you facing the screen? And Epilogue is one mission - a small one at that. Veteran is plenty challenging. They wouldn't bother making it any harder because as it was you died in 1 hit most of the time and the average player would probably struggle to finish it. Broadcast was fairly challenging on Veteran when you had to get across the TV room and so was lifting the pilot back to the chopper. But then I'm referring to PC version not console. Console version would have to be easier or it'd be just about impossible.

The preview I saw in E3 seemed like it was for wii though and I don't think it was too bad

That being said, I think it's a either a mixed cut or has been heavly touched because there are portions on par with the Wii gameplay I've seen and others not so much

edit: just a further note, a lot of the better looking stuff looks very cut-scenely, so perhaps it's just optimized ala resident evil 4
