The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor is based on the movie of the same name. It follows the same plot as the movie and, let’s face it, is a movie to video game cross over. Many of you get a sinking feeling when I mention this. I understand your sinicism. I think I'll take a wait and see approach. Gonzagua de Vallois, Senior Vice President of Publishing for Gameloft had to say “Gameloft is pleased to again partner with Universal to add an interactive mobile component to its wildly popular movie franchise. An action-packed property such as The Mummy allows us to go down an extremely wide creative path to deliver an exciting and engaging mobile game for fans.” ”We have a great history of collaboration with Gameloft, and they were a natural choice for us on this awesome title. The Mummy franchise has millions of fans worldwide, and the mobile game gives us another vehicle through which to deliver a dynamic and complementary experience.” Says Jeremy Laws, Senior Vice President of Universal Mobile entertainment. The game sports 12 levels and a variety of landscapes set in mystic looking places in China. It’s a third person action/adventure that they promise will deliver thrills and spills aplenty (I’ll wait and see). The control scheme is as yet unknown. It’s due for release along side the movie.
