Man, I don't care what people say about the batteries lasting for 40-50 hours because it just ISN'T TRUE. I've had my Wii for ten days now, (got it on the release day of course) and I've run through a whole twenty pack of batteries. That twenty pack was on the cheap at $17 (brand name, of course, so it's not the batteries themselves), but if you include the two that came with each of the Wiimotes (note that the second one barely ever gets its batteries changed because it's only used for when people come over) that's 24 batteries in ten days. That's a hell of a lot to be spending, and seriously, Nintendo should have thought of that.
I've racked up about fifty hours in Zelda, and I would guess total twenty hours with my mates in Wii Play and Wii Sports. So, about ninety remote-hours, and ten battery changes. ****ing unacceptable. I will be getting this the moment I can, but I shouldn't have to in the first place.
