Social \ Where should I work?

So I am thinking mainly about the local pc places otherwise where would a good place to work. The only real places I don't want to go is food prep like Maccas or subway etc.

I can say coles pay very well, above award wage. It's not hard work just repetitive, it just depends on whether or not you are prepared to do it (alot of ppl won't work at a supermarket, lol)
out of pc places, there are more to choose from up there obviously than we have down here, but you have to have a pretty good amount of luck to get into one. They are usually overstocked with resumes of people who want in, so you have to really stand out from the others

I think maccas is the best first job to start off with. Their hours are usually pretty flexible. Retail is good, too, like k-mart, target, myer, although of school age, might be difficult to work during the week.

lol, I was like that. I'd do almost anything to work somewhere else, since FastFood just seemed like the easy way out. Oh well

Smokey is so right though, trades are the best way to make good money.
My mates is an electrician making 70 - 80k, they are so well paid.

Trades are great if you wanna drop out of school and it interests you but if hes 16 and wants to stay in school hes better with something in retail.

I worked at Kmart from bout 15-18 or something. Just while I was at school. It was a great place to work, customers suck but thats always the way. All the staff were friendly, the pay was good and it was pretty relaxed. But really its not where you should work but where you CAN GET work.

Work in a job which may lead you onto the type of job you want to get when you leave school/uni. It's a good way to see if you really want to do the job. You may need to offer some free hours if it is a highly sought after or rare type of job.

hahaha I wouldn't worry about having a lack of cooking skills. my friend works at maccas, you just put the stuff in the machine and it cooks it all for you. You don't even have to FLIP the burgers!
