Wii Hardware \ Help with WiFi setup

Ok I recently got a wii for christmas. Its fantastic. I got it hooked up to the internet with my wifi usb connector. It was working fine until it took a trip to my mates house and back. Now it wont register on the computer when i got through the step by step process of connecting.

PLZ FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP ME!!!! WHAT DO I DO!!!

ps. I wanna see if my mii won the fortune teller contest

Yeah it doesnt seem to pop up on my computer but the weird thing is my ds pops up but not my wii.
