Wii Hardware \ Please help with Dump/backup

Hi All,

i am trying to backup my original games using the SDGecko method. but am running into trouble. My wii is d2ckey, with 3.1e firmware.

I have tried wiikey DVDDUMP and Softdev's SDDVD dump tool.

i have formatted my SD card, but when the system prompts me to insert original game disc, it cannot read it, and says DVD read error. however if i place in a backed up disc, or any other burnt disc, it reads it, just not originals....

has anyone seen this problem?

help please!!!

hrm, no, i think you misunderstood my problem, i'm not using the rawdump method, i'm using the SD card dump method which doesnt use the pc's dvd drive to backup games.....
